Echilibru
Bianca I. Bondoc

Description: "Equilibrium" is a conceptual response to the lingering trauma, memory, and moral complexities of the conflict in the Former Yugoslavia. Inspired by survivor testimonies, such as “I was beaten, I fell down, but I got up too, because those who fell down, they never got up again,” the artwork captures the fragile balance between survival and despair. The fragmented, multi-limbed figure precariously balancing on a thread reflects the resilience required to endure such experiences.
